Recall of faulty child-resistant medications


Novartis consumer health inc, recalled  2.3 million units of TriaminicandTheraflu cold and cough syrups after children opened the child-resistant caps and ingested the medication. The child-resistant caps do not always work and some children are able to remove them by themselves.
The pharmaceutical company, recalled six kinds of Theraflu Warming Relief syrups and 18 kinds of Triaminic syrups. For a full list, click here.

Introducing fish by 6 to 12 months might be a good way to prevent the development of asthma a recent study has indicated.


In a report by "HealthDay News" based on a study published in Pediatrics that found the introduction of fish by the ages of 6 and 12 months reduced the risk of wheezing associated illness in children at age 4.
